The Child Rights Coalition Asia has recently reprinted The World We Want: A Guide to the Goals for Children and Young People. This 32-page guidebook presents the Global Goals for Sustainable Development or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a fun and child-friendly format.<\/p>\n

The Child Rights Coalition Asia has recently reprinted The World We Want: A Guide to the Goals for Children and Young People. This 32-page guidebook presents the Global Goals for Sustainable Development or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a fun and child-friendly format.<\/p>\n

After the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) of 2015, the SDGs are new goals which United Nations’ Member States have identified as priorities for all people in order to build a better world for all until the year 2030. Millions of people and organizations, including children and the youth, have helped in coming up with the SDGs.<\/p>\n

It is hoped that with this booklet, children and the youth will understand the Goals, take them to heart, and think of ways to help their government achieve them. There’s a lot that needs to be done and can be done in 15 years!<\/p>\n

Teachers, advocates, parents, and policy makers may use this guide to communicate with children and young people about the Goals and elicit their opinion about what the Goals mean to them, their issues and concerns, and how they think the Goals can help create a better world for their future.<\/p>\n
