At the same time, the lack of support for children and youth as human rights defenders threatens the future of activism. This webinar will focus on the experiences of youth and children, particularly around the following questions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>1) What are the challenges faced by children and youth human rights defenders?<br \/>\n2) With the pandemic, how are children and youth human rights defenders innovating to continue their activism?<br \/>\n3) What support is needed by children and youth human rights defenders?<br \/>\n4) What are the key recommendations to the ASEAN sectoral bodies, such as the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC), in upholding the rights of children and youth human rights defenders?<br \/>\n5) How can collaboration among children, youth, civil society, and government be strengthened?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panelists<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1. AYF has been a platform of the youth in the ASEAN to raise their voice and claim for their rights for a sustainable, inclusive, people-centred, and youth-driven regional community. The network aims to institutionalise and establish its national chapters to focus the engagement on important and timely local issues affecting the youth, and consolidate policy proposal and agenda to put forward to the relevant ASEAN offices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CRC Asia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Child Rights Coalition Asia (CRC Asia) is a network of child rights organisations working together to be a strong voice for and with children in the region. CRC Asia has a mission to be a strong voice for child rights by leading in the strengthening of child rights movements, promoting innovative approaches, and advocating better policies for and with children in the region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FORUM-ASIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) works to promote and protect human rights, including the right to development, through collaboration and cooperation among human rights organisations and defenders in Asia and beyond.\u00a0FORUM-ASIA is a network of 81 members in 21 countries, as of September 2018, across Asia. It was founded in 1991 in Manila, the Philippines. Its Regional Secretariat was established in Bangkok, Thailand in 1992.
